Caroline Shadforth

Caroline received her Master's in Education from Southeast Missouri State University. She has over ten years of elementary education experience in the classroom setting, working with students of various ages and abilities. She also has several certifications, including her master's degree.

Wendy Tarr

Wendy studied French at Frostburg State University and L'Université de Savoie in Chambéry, France. She received her Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from McDaniel College. She started teaching world languages, French and Spanish, in SMCPS in 1995. She taught at Esperanza Middle School, Leonardtown Middle School, and Chopticon High School. Wendy became the supervisor of World Languages and ESOL in 2013.

Children who acquire a second language at an early age rather than consciously learn it as an older child, are more likely to become proficient faster. We are moving in the right direction, but we are not there yet--this is what motivates me!"
